After finishing it, I wouldnt describe it as that; its more of a gothic psychological thriller. There were moments when I thought continuity mistakes had been made (I have a proof copy so it can happen) but trust me when I say that nothing in this book is a mistake. Revenge. Although gothic and dark throughout, theres a surprisingly positive thread that emerges. From Teds first person narrative, we get the impression that hes dealing with quite a few issues, although its not clear exactly what those issues are.
